Shake with ice. Strain and garnish with a sprig of fresh thyme which imparts a smoky aroma when contrasted with the flavors of the beverage.

Cranberry Syrup
  • 1 pound of fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • zest of one large orange
  • 2 Tablespoons Grand Marnier
Put all ingredients except the liqueur into a sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-high. Cook on medium-high for 5 minutes. Add liqueur and stir.
