2020 Day 7 "12 Days of Cocktails" Cocktail Winner

- 2oz Conniption American Dry Gin
- 1oz Dolin Rouge Vermouth
- 3/4 oz spiced red wine syrup*
- 6 dashes Scrappy’s grapefruit bitters
Shake strain over large cube garnish with a grapefruit twist & fresh ground pepper
*red wine syrup: 1 cup dry red table wine 1 cup sugar. Simmer over med heat. Add 1tsp peppercorns 5 cinnamon sticks (broken) 1 star anise 2 dashes Angostura Bitters 1 vanilla bean (scored) pinch of salt & 5 whole cloves. Let stand in refrigerator until cool.
