Partridge in a Pear Tree
2021 Day 8 Winner "12 Days of Cocktails"
- 2 oz Conniption American Dry Gin
- 2 oz Dry Mead (Honeygirl Wildflower Mead suggested)
- 1 oz Black Cardamom Simple Syrup*
- 1/2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 2-3 shakes Pear Bitters Splash Pear Brandy (such as Fidelitas Williams Birne)
- Dried pear to garnish
Rinse cocktail glass with pear brandy. Shake other ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice pour into prepared glass. Garnish with dried pear.
*Black cardamom simple syrup: 1c water 1c sugar 5-7 pods black cardamom crushed with seeds ~1" fresh ginger slivered. Bring all ingredients to a boil and simmer for ~10 minutes. Strain out solids and cool before using. Keep refrigerated for up to 1-2 weeks.
