Chocolate Covered Strawberry
1.5 oz Damn Fine Chocolate
.75 oz Conniption Barrel Aged Gin
.5 oz Strawberry simple syrup
(Optional) 2 dashes of Dashfire Mole bitters
Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a Nick & Nora and garnish with a fresh strawberry.
Strawberry syrup:
1 cup quartered strawberries
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
Macerate the strawberries with the sugar in a bowl, refrigerated overnight until a thick sugary syrup appears. Note: there may be some granulated sugar sitting on the bottom of your bowl. Pour the strawberries and syrup into a strainer over a small or medium saucepan over medium heat. Pour the 1/2 cup of water over the strawberries to rinse off any remaining sugar on the strawberries. Simmer the mixture until the syrup has thickened slightly. Sit and let cool.
