Once a year, Conniption Bar gives up the ghost. Death by Dinner Party invites you to take a seat inside Corpse Reviver, our Halloween pop-up, for Chef Carmen’s feast with cocktail pairings in a hauntingly transformed lounge.

Dress like you belong at the table—gothic glamour, a familiar fright or something devilishly clever. Costumes are encouraged, and our pick for best costume will leave with a special gift. Come as you are, or as someone who hasn’t been seen among the living in years.

From September 23 through November 1, Corpse Reviver rises again. Our Halloween pop-up transforms the lounge with seasonal cocktails, hidden details and plenty of reasons to look twice. Sunday evenings return, too, from 4–10 PM.

Can I enjoy a cocktail at your distillery?

You sure can! Conniption Bar & Lounge is a full cocktail bar, with a full range of spirits, beer and wine.
Do You have a Gift Shop?

Stop in during our open hours to purchase that special gift, for you or someone else. Our retail shop has a lot of options including cocktail shakers, bitters, cocktail glasses, mixing glasses, shirts, hats, tonic - and much more!

What Happened to Your Parking Lot?

It's all about progress in downtown Durham. Usually, we're all for it but unfortunately our shared parking lot with Blue Note Grill was sacrificed in the process. We do have a parking lot that is set aside for our use but it is about a block away on the corner of Washington Street and Corporation.

If you prefer to keep walking to a minimum, the options are:

  1. On street parking. It's hard to know how many will be open but the earlier in the day to evening on the weekends is usually ok.
  2. Scooters!
  3. Rideshare.
Is the distillery pet-friendly?

While we love our four-legged friends and all of us are dog or cat owners here, it's just not possible for them to be in the distillery. We always allow service dogs.
Do You Offer Private Tours or Cocktail Classes?
