2018 "12 Days of Cocktails" Cocktail Winner

- 2 oz. Conniption Navy Strength Gin
- 3 oz. fresh apple cider
- 1 oz. Calvados
- 1 oz. Spiced Cranberry Syrup
- .5 oz fresh lime juice
- Few dashes of bitters (Crude Persimmon & Apple bitters or Angostura)
Instructions
Combine all ingredients with plenty of ice. Shake, strain and serve in punch glasses. ** This recipe could be easily scaled up and be served in a punch bowl at a party. Just multiply and add directly to a punch bowl with plenty of ice stirred and allow to rest. From Natasha: "Just be sure to collect your guests' car keys at the door - it'll sneak up on you!"
Spiced Cranberry Syrup
- 1 1/4 c. cranberry juice
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 6 allspice berries
- 4 cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 star anise
Bring ingredients to a boil and then lower to a simmer for 10 minutes; remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature before straining.
