Recipe by Kerry
- 2 oz. Conniption Navy Strength Gin
- 1 1/4 oz. Grand Marnier
- 1 1/4 oz. Cranberry Syrup
- 1 oz. fresh lime juice
- Garnish: fresh thyme
Shake with ice. Strain and garnish with a sprig of fresh thyme which imparts a smoky aroma when contrasted with the flavors of the beverage.
- 1 pound of fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- zest of one large orange
- 2 Tablespoons Grand Marnier
Put all ingredients except the liqueur into a sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-high. Cook on medium-high for 5 minutes. Add liqueur and stir. Cook another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool partially but while still warm strain out cranberry solids. Pour remaining syrup through a tea strainer.
