Corpse Reviver is back from the dead and there’s a place for you at the table.

On Sunday, October 18, join Chef Carmen of Full Street Catering for Death by Dinner Party, a Halloween dinner with cocktail pairings at Conniption Bar & Lounge in downtown Durham.

For the third chapter of our Botanicals Banquet collaboration, we’re crossing over to the other side. Inside the lounge, transformed for our annual Corpse Reviver Halloween pop-up, a multi-course, family-style feast awaits—inspired by dark fruits, the autumn harvest, smoke and a touch of the macabre.

Make it an October date night, gather your favorite dinner companions, or come ready to meet a few new ones. With shared seating and courses passed around the table, this evening is made for settling in, trading stories and enjoying something unexpected together.

$95 per guest includes admission for one, the complete multi-course dinner by Chef Carmen, and accompanying cocktail pairings crafted exclusively for the evening using Durham Distillery spirits.

Bourbon-Glazed Bone-In Roasted Chicken

Spinach and Cream Cheese-Stuffed Salmon

Served family-style with:

  • Squid ink pasta with tomatoes, basil, Italian dressing and mozzarella pearls
  • Cranberry wild rice
  • Sautéed green beans with tri-color peppers
  • Hot honey-glazed carrots

The Final Course

Grilled Pound Cake
Vanilla bean cream, dried dragon fruit and blood orange drizzle.

Once a year, Conniption Bar gives up the ghost. Death by Dinner Party invites you to dine inside Corpse Reviver, our Halloween pop-up in downtown Durham, where a hauntingly transformed lounge sets the scene for Chef Carmen’s feast and cocktail pairings.

Dress like you belong at the table: gothic glamour, a familiar fright or something devilishly clever. Costumes are highly encouraged, and our pick for best costume will leave with a special gift.
